A flower in the garden of the Ocean House resort. Viti Levu.. Fiji is a popular diving and snorkeling destination. However Fiji's coral reefs are faced by land pollution, overfishing, blast fishing and bleaching. Because of an increase in sea temperatures the coral turns white and eventually dies. Coral bleaching is a result of global warming. Here a local villager on the southern shores of Viti Levu scours the coastline for octupus and other marine creatures useful in everyday life.
