At the Panama Canal in Panama Central America ships pass through the Miraflores locks. This set of locks are the last locks before the ships reach the Pacific Ocean. The Panamax class of ships pass most frequently at night. Fresh Water is discharged into the canal reaches the ocean. A pelican sits on the wall of the canal.
