Myers, fishing as Team Florida Fishing Weekly/Reel Appeal, scored a victory in the first of the day's tournaments, landing a massive 206-pound tarpon, the second largest fish weighed during a tarpon tournament in the State of Florida. ..Fischer, fishing with teammates Chris Claypool, Dick Rudlaffe and Brian Bogger, didn't have much trouble getting the fish to the scales. "We knew it was a big fish, but we were amazed at its cooperation," says Fischer. "The fish stayed in about 15-feet of water, allowing us to avoid potential line breaks," says the Team Century angler..."I was not sure of what to expect from this weekend's fishing, as I had been out of town fishing the FLW Kingfish Series," says Fischer. "When I got into the pass, fellow Team Century angler Jeff Totten said that it would take a big fish to win either of today's events," Fischer continued. "A 187-pounder had already hit the scales, but when we successfully got the fish to the boat, we knew we had a chance at winning," he said...With the victory, Fischer's team wins a Century 2102 Inshore powered by a reliable Yamaha F150 four-stroke outboard engine, and a Continental aluminum trailer - a retail value exceeding $35,000. With their victory, and two successful releases in the second of the day's tournaments, Team Florida Fishing Weekly/Reel Appeal
